Home Again, a program from the Attorney General’s office, is here for you
Over the past 20 years, Nevadans, like people all over the country, have found themselves challenged by large swings in the economy. Recessions and the fear of future recessions have plagued the housing market, leaving uncertainty for those already in homes and for those who desire homes of their own.
The homeownership and home buying processes are confusing. They require answers to many difficult legal and financial questions.
But Nevadans don’t have to go it alone. You can get help with buying a home, restoring your credit, or modifying your home loan.
Home Again: Nevada Homeowner Relief Program is a free public service from the Office of the Nevada Attorney General that helps to connect Nevada residents to the housing resources available to them.
Attorney General Aaron Ford understands the importance of this program. Growing up, he never knew if the lights, water, or gas would turn on. In college, he depended on food stamps, welfare, and section 8 housing. Without these programs, he wouldn’t be where he is today.
It is Attorney General Ford’s past that inspires his commitment to helping others in the future. That’s why Home Again is such an important focus of his office and why his staff is ready to assist you.
Home Again goes beyond buying a home, restoring your credit, and modifying your home loan. Home Again provides information on reverse mortgages. It can also assist with information on Notario Scams, helping you understand what to look for when seeking assistance with immigration laws.
Home Again is a state-wide program. This free service is available for all Nevadans simply by calling toll free 1-855-HLP-4-NEV (1-855-457-4638). The call center is open 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. You may also submit your request via the ‘Contact’ form on the website https://homeagainnevada.gov/. Asistencia está disponible en español.
